Egg Dyeing

We love holidays here in the Fox household. We love the traditions of Christmas, the fun of Halloween, the oh so tasty food of Thanksgiving. We love the holidays, even if we don't always follow the "rules" as to why the holiday became a holiday in the first place. Easter is one of those holidays. We are a very nature loving, inspired by all things outdoors type of family. We see the celebration of Easter as more about celebrating the rebirth of nature, as in the flowers on our fruit trees, new veggie plants coming out of the ground, the new life beginning. That is what Easter is to us.
So yesterday to begin our celebration weekend, we had a bit of fun, and made a little mess, dyeing our Easter eggs. Although I avoid synthetic dye in most things my kids eat, we think it makes a pretty looking egg.
And some not so pretty hands (good thing she's wearing a tutu).
