About once a month or so Teigue declares that it is time for a new train set up. This is a very big deal in the world of Teigue- a new set up can mean loads and loads of things. Will Tidmouth Shed be involved? How about Cranky the Crane? Bumpy, smooth or regular? So many decisions. He loves to be involved in this process...in the beginning anyway...
First order of business is demo. We most remove the whole entire previous set up and throw it on the floor, without any sort of organization what so ever. This gives us a good idea as to what we have to work with for our new set up.
Teigue declares that he wants a high HIGHEST train track. We get to work on construction.
Teigue's track building style is a little unconventional.
Oh wait, we're building a track? I help you Mommy.
Jayno aka Inspector
Usually about 3 minutes into construction, Teigue feels that his services are better used removing all track from the chest. Then he must get inside said chest.
Stella is in charge of putting on the lid. And literally almost pokes Teigue's eye out.
And sitting on the lid.
Completion!
I think that I love track building day so much more than he does. It's really fun for me to figure out the best track- the more turns and dips the better. When he gets new tracks, I think that I am more excited than he is. I once bought him some risers so that I, I mean we, could build a much higher track. He didn't even care. I of course got to work building a track as soon as they arrived. And then Jayno knocked down 10 seconds later. Tonight's track saw the return of the risers for the first time in about 6 months. I, um we, hope Stella lets them stay up.
